A design-build project to install a new chiller plant including power to serve the facility air handling equipment . Two new 500 ton air cooled chillers were installed on a new galvanized steel structure above the facility. Piping was routed from the new roof top chiller plant into existing mechanical room connections. Polypropylene piping was used for its longevity and lighter weight compared to steel. A complete new power system for the new chillers was also designed and installed. A pair of 750 KVA transformers with outdoor switchgear were installed nearby in order to power these new air cooled chiller. The facilities control system was also upgraded for easy and efficient operation no matter the conditions. Complete with upgraded graphics, BACnet communication and infrastructure for expansion.
